With over 150,000 units supplied worldwide, Mitsubishi Electric creates comfortable spaces for passengers.
We continue to improve passenger services with air management systems that consider both people and the environment—and offer image displays that incorporate the latest information technology. Multiple temperature sensors allow the onboard environment to be automaticaly controlled to a comfortable ambient temperature.
Performance and Reliability
Mitsubishi Electric HVAC subsystems historically exceed MDBCF and MDBSF specification requirements:
Mean Distance Between Component Failure
Typical MDBCF Requirement | 200,000 miles |
Mitsubishi Electric HVAC achieved | 578,655 miles* |
Mean Distance Between Service Failure
Typical MDBSF Requirement | 1,000,000 miles |
Mitsubishi Electric HVAC achieved | 3,776,000 miles |

Mitsubishi Electric HVAC System Key Benefits:
- Energy efficiency
- Scroll Compressors with capacity control to closely match the cooling load
- Proven Fully Hermetic Refrigerant Circuit
High Efficiency Components
Condenser Fan
The combination of winglet fan and backward-curved blade, reduces swirl at the blade ends for high efficiency and noise reduction.
Evaporator/ Condenser Coil
Smaller Evaporator/ Condenser Coil pipe reduces the size of heat exchange and refrigerant volume.
Compressor Capacity Control
Returns a part of refrigerant in the compression process to the low pressure side to provide capacity control.
