The NetCom System is a SNMP/Web agent hardware adapter runs an embedded Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)software agent. This agent responds to SNMP GETs and SETs and, also, forwards TRAPs to designated recipients when critical conditions occur to the UPS—such as going on battery backup.
