The Netcom2 is a SNMP/Web agent hardware adapter that runs an embedded Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) software agent. This interface agent responds to SNMP GETs and SETs. Additionally, it forwards critical event TRAP notifications to designated receivers (e.g. Going on battery backup), and when critical events occur, will perform a graceful, unattended shutdown of remote computers.
